I'm staving off colds and coughs with my should-be-patented-cold-killing-system and great snacks at work.
In the meantime, the weather has been fantastically schizophrenic, with blazing sun some days, as I wondered the Victorian warehouse-lined side streets of my 'hood, and crazily snowy for mere moments in between. The snow shot is from my living room window.

Recent Pics
Rather like this sweet corgi, I enjoyed having things on my head. The green hat was for a fantastic Havana-inspired "Lime and Linen" party. So many lovely things to look at and eat. Again, like Diner en Blanc, if you give people a colour direction, it makes for some amazing visuals. I had to buy the boater for this summer as it looks saucy and was on sale for $11!
My 'hood is getting better each day. So much construction is driving us all slightly nuts, but it'll be amazing when Front Street is resurfaced and the recent condos are done.
I dulled the drilling noises with flowers.
A fabulous woman knitted me socks for my birthday!
A local wine shop showed some wit.

Bit of a Blether, but Might Actually be Stoned, so... you Know, no Worries!
Could it get any wetter? I was handling some paper on my desk just now and it had got a bit soft. Everything feels damp, unless the airconditioning is on, and it's on a LOT. Such a muggy, wet July makes things very lush and green. It's tropical in Toronto, and as I sit through another monsoon storm, I'm refreshed by my lemon/raspberry water, and entertained (and probably stoned) from my neighbour's now almost hourly puffs of pot seeping its way into my home.

Burger: Good. Hunger: Bad
My new favourite burger. The PJH at Pacific Junction Hotel, in my hood, starring jerk flavouring. Also, some of the best nachos ever. Attach drool cups.

Dogs in the Hood
Roads were shut down as the annual dog fest that is Woofstock took over the downtown St. Lawrence neighbourhood (also my hood) this weekend. Dogs of every size and shape comingled for the most part very amicably. The fountain in Berczy Park (usually off limit to dogs) is opened up to them for this weekend only. SO much fun, as were the costume shows and the many stalls selling doggy goods and treats. There were more hands to pet dogs than dogs, so most had a bevy of fans making a fuss of them! This puppy had had enough and just lay down in the middle of the street.
