Quote of the Day

Your love
Should never be offered to the mouth of a
Stranger,
Only to someone
Who has the valor and daring
To cut pieces of their soul off with a knife
Then weave them into a blanket
To protect you.

From "The Gift", by Hafiz, one of my favourite poets. The photograph is of a corner of my bedroom at sunset.

Lovely little poem. But, doesn't that someone with valor and daring start off by being a stranger to you?

Makes me think of my son, who is currently divorcing someone who turned out to be a "stranger."

Hilarywho: True. I'm sorry about your son's divorce. My friend's nephew had a similar instance. xoxo

Betsy: Same here!
