Today we remember not just all those who gave their lives in combat, but those who tragically took their lives too... the dizzying rate of suicide amongst service men and women is horrific. Maybe one day we'll know the full story on that statistic.

Maybe too we'll someday honor people living normal, peaceful lives.
Along with that, war and violence will be seen as anti-social aberrations and the concept, heroic actions, won't be glued to the word "warrior".
This still goes on ... soldiers who have served in war zones tend to kill themselves more than, say, estate agents ...
I'm not optimistic. I think the species is screwed and it's all our doing.
