Meet the Count

"No man knows till he has suffered from the night how sweet and dear to his heart and eye the morning can be."

From Dracula, by Bram Stoker

As I was sifting through the box of fabric bits and pieces for Bruce's original costume idea (I'll save that for next year), The Horror of Dracula (1958) came on and that pretty much sealed the deal. I thought he ended up looking a bit like Eugene Onegin with his nifty top hat and his red sari silk-lined cape, but I was out-voted. He's Count Brucula. Now I have to sort myself out!

Funny - when I saw the pic and before I read the post I thought he WAS Eugene Onegin. I love it!!! Count Brucula looks devilishly handsome and creepy at the same time. Well done!

Great costume Bruce! I love the simple yet sharp colour contrasting of white, red & black. Well done on the lighting for the picture BPG - very eeery. Count on Bruce to pull one out of the hat.

Wow, Bruce looks handsome and mysterious there in the dark, in his oh-so-opulent garb! Yes, so Eugene Onegin.

Happy Halloween, BPG! :)

He does indeed look as though he is just off for a night at the opera...perhaps to find his next 'victim' amongst the elegant crowd? Or just to hang out down in the cellars at the underground lake 'haunt' of his ol' friend Phantom?

Hilary: I was a purple witch and only made one baby cry, so I reckon that was okay odds!

Suza: He's all ready in case he has to "go on" one day. :)

Protege: Thank you! I hope you had a happy one too!

Dr. M: Thank you! Bruce is always up for something new!

Betsy: Luckily he has the fangs built right in. :)

Willow: He's no Ralph Fiennes but that's okay!

Lavinia: Bruce loves your comment! He's feeling more mysterious by the minute. ;)

Glamah: Thank you for the lovely compliment. :)
