Well... Christmas is less than four months away. But BPG is on the case and two scarves are already nearly finished, just two more after that.
The colours are what draw me in, and the softer the yarn, the better. But I've also been donated a large ball of very coarse, pure wool yarn that I am going to use to make more little cat blankets for the Humane Society. They need all of those that they can get, and, in my experience, cats love a real wool bed.

Our two cats loved real wool....only have to accidently leave a favorite sweater laying on the bed once to learn your lesson! LOL
My aunt tried to teach me how to knit once. It didn't take. But I so admire anyone who can do such lovely work! Hand knit items are so marvelous. Wonderful, BPG!

Wow, what a wild and woolly post. tee hee! How about knitting a doggy blanket for the Bebbers? His old blankie mysteriously disappeared (I think the dryer ate it?). Getting to be that season when the Bebbers needs something to snuggle in. You know how he chewed up all the lambskin rugs...

As I am starting a new knitting class on Monday night, this was the perfect post for me! I can't wait!
I love the colors. I used to knit, it was a very calming activity. When I was in school, it was "cool" to knit and all the girls used to sit in the hallways during breaks, knitting sweaters and legwarmers (is it called like that in english?). I actually heard knitting is back in fashion again.;)
Betsy: I'm a pretty basic knitter but I tell you, it's a wonderful pastime, becomes very zen. :)
Willow: It took me about 7 goes before knitting took - I'm not kidding! Yes... the colours are what lure me, I just can't resist buying yarns even with no particular project in mind. I... must... own... them! ARGH!

Protege: Hello there new blogger! Yes, knitting is very much back in fashion, there are knit cafes and knitting circles being started up by the 20-somethings. Yes, they are "leg warmers" here, something a Canadian winter can usually benefit from. :)
I've never learned to knit but am in awe of those who have the patience to do so...What a wonderful contribution to the humane society as well....I love the blues and greens in the photo....:-)
