Summer in the city, on my vacation, and now the news that the 168-year-old rag The News of the World is being shut down by the owners, that clan of Death Eaters known as the Murdochs. It's scary that it's boasted the largest circulation by an English-speaking publication, and even scarier when you consider the reasons why: phone hacking of celebrities and victims of violent crime and terrorism.
I still think our civilization is screwed, but... today was a small vote for good over pure evil.
