Hello blog princess... pleased to meet you and thanks for your nice words :) Wonder how you came across my hermitage? What an interesting place you have here - pleased to see the time traveller's wife and philip pullman in your book list there :)
Best wishes to you... Rima

I guess you could say he's got a monopoly on that spot. :)

Pretty cat! I miss our Muffin who passed on long ago. After reading your top film faves, I rememebered how much I like Woody Allen...he's got that great "Bob Hope-ish" kind of humor. He's so funny esp running and driving a car! Added some of his films to my list. Have to tweak my new blog almost daily. I saw something in the news about him and the LA opera...is he going to direct? He does put an opera into almost every one of his films.

Hi Rima - I came across your blog via Willowmanor :) Both of your blogs are now among my daily readings. Tonight I'm finishing the Dark Materials trilogy... can't wait!

Phil... he does indeed... for now. I have to keep reminding myself he's a temporary house guest, but I know I'll miss him when he leaves.

Willow manor: Woody is indeed going to direct Gianni Schicchi, part of Puccini's Il Trittico for L.A. Opera's 2008/09 season. It was Puccini's only comedy as you probably know, so well suited in that regard to Woody's sensibility. There's been a fair bit of cross over the last few years, with film directors such as Anthony Minghella and Atom Egoyan producing opera. Then you have theatre/opera director Julie Taymor who now works in film. Very different mediums. In the same way, not all film actors are suitable to theatre and vice versa. So we shall see what happens. :)

A-tisket, a-tasket,
Tibbles loves his basket!

And looks good in it too... how do they curl themselves into such a tight coil one moment and then stretch out a mile long the next?

Why, he sure looks just that Darn Cat from the movie back in the sixties.
