A Quote of the Day and a Mum for All Time

Isaac: I got a kid, he's being raised by two women at the moment.

Mary: Oh, y'know, I mean I think that works. Uh, they made some studies, I read in one of the psychoanalytic quarterlies. You don't need a male, I mean. Two mothers are absolutely fine.

Isaac: Really? Because I always feel very few people survive one mother.

Woody Allen as Isaac and Diane Keaton as Mary in Manhattan (1979).

This is not the case for me. My mother is the most loving, fun-loving, generous, free-spirited, youthful, capable, smart woman I know. By the way, she's on the left. :)

I love you Mom... Happy Mother's Day! (She's not a blog reader... so fingers crossed she'll see this.)

Love your posts today BPG. The cake looks amazing, Manhattan, (which, coincidentally I just watched on TVO tonight and fell in love with the movie and the music all over again) is amazing, and I know, from personal experience, that your Mom is amazing. What a beautiful photo of the two of you.

A big Happy Mother's Day to her and a big Happy BPG Day to you too, my dear friend. xoxo

A little love to Tibby and your Pop - wouldn't want their self esteem to be a notch below Kafka's!!

It doesn't matter if she reads the blog, as long as she knows the love expressed in it.

BPG,
Oh what a wonderful blog post praising your mother! Good for you. I lost my mom in 1970 when I was 24. I commend you for cherishing precious moments with your mother. She looks like a lovely lady.. and you do too!

Much praise and kudos to the woman who pushed out such a wonderful, beautiful princess! (Is the Tiara still on back order?). I would say I see where you get your good looks, but alas I cannot tell a lie. Although your Mother is beautiful as well, you don't look much alike at all.

Do tell - did your Mum read this post?

Thank you all, and my mum thanks you too although she has NOT YET READ THIS POST.

Sigh.

No, the tiara is still in promise mode.

Sigh.

Suza ~ Thank you for the lovely words, and very big hugs to you and your lovely mum. Tibby and my dad are holding up as well as can be expected.

Not ~ Well spotted. Not many notice that, assuming - with dark hair, etc. - that we are very alike.
